Thayer County Health Services is designated as a Basic Level (Level IV) Trauma Center—the only one in the region. This recognition from the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services reflects our commitment to providing quality care for trauma patients. Our 24-hour Emergency Department team is trained in adult, pediatric, and cardiac trauma care. Ambulance services are available around the clock, and patients requiring a higher level of care can be safely transferred by helicopter.
