Aging brings many joys—more time with family, freedom in retirement, and opportunities to reflect on a life well lived. However, it can also come with challenging transitions, such as the loss of loved ones, health changes, and increased feelings of stress, anxiety, or sadness.
Senior Life Solutions at Thayer County Health Services is an intensive outpatient group therapy program tailored to meet the unique emotional and behavioral health needs of adults typically aged 65 and older. The program is designed for individuals who are experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety often related to aging.
You or a loved one may benefit from Senior Life Solutions if you’ve experienced:
-
A recent traumatic event
-
The loss of a spouse or close family member
-
A loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed
-
Changes in appetite or sleeping patterns
-
Persistent feelings of sadness, grief, or hopelessness
-
Low energy or motivation
-
Feelings of worthlessness
After a personal assessment, participants meet up to three times per week in a safe, supportive group environment led by a dedicated care team.
